Turns out I never knew my husband

This weekend - we were working on the house as usual. Needed some music to float through the house to keep my brain occupied. I asked the King of Annaland to play dj and put in some tunes. He has binders upon binders filled with cds. He can sit for hours running through them trying to determine what he wants to hear in a blissfully categorized alphabetical order. He proceeds to do just that. Thoughtfully perusing the cd collection trying to find just the right music to listen to at just the right time.

I wait since it's always interesting his choice.

This time? JIM FUCKING CROCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has a Jim Croce cd I never knew of. I tell you, my world is spinning. Who the hell works on the house doing manual labor listening to Time in a Bottle?

I was putting up my Bay Breeze 42 inch ceiling fan in one of our guest bedrooms so I put on Sirius Reggae music. It was fun and I felt like I was in da islands mon. Hmmm Time in a Bottle it all depends on the mood. Maybe next time suggest some Air Supply or Journey? I'm a guy what the hell do I know. I hope you have a great week!!!

But "Time in a Bottle" is about a cherished loved one, of preserving the precious moments. What isn't to like about selecting that?

I mean, I might have picked "The Unforgettable Glenn Miller" CD (really high energy, especially when working late at night). Or Sixpence None the Richer (Brings back memories of Mike Myers' "So I Married An Axe Murderer .."). Or even Kelly Clarkson (brings back memories of "Love Actually" - love that Emma Thompsen. Also Emma in Junior with Danny Devito an Arnold Schwarzenegger, or in "Much Ado About Nothing".) Or maybe the Seekers or Berlin's "Take My Breath Away". Or the Moody Blues, or even "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Truck Driving Song", or Julie Brown's "Earth Girls are Easy" (the song that inspired the Gina Davis movie with Jim Carey, Damon Wayans, and Jeff Goldblum as space aliens). Or the Leslie Fish song, "Carmen Miranda's Ghost Is Haunting Space Station Three" that inspired the collection of short science fiction stories by that name, edited by Esther Friesner. Or even K.D. Lang's 20 year old album, "Absolute Torch and Twang."

OK, so maybe I don't get much work done around the house.
